Bark Air — the concept of genuine premium air travel for dogs, where pets travel in the cabin, not cargo — has defined a new standard for pet-inclusive luxury travel. FFGR Monaco's Bark Air service brings this philosophy to the French Riviera, coordinating pet-friendly private jet travel from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport with Rolls-Royce ground transport and full veterinary documentation management.
The Problem with Standard Pet Travel
Commercial aviation relegates dogs to the hold — temperature fluctuations, noise, isolation and the physical stress of cargo handling. Even premium cabins on commercial airlines impose weight and breed restrictions that exclude the dogs most UHNWI clients own. Private aviation resolves this entirely: the dog travels in the cabin, at the owner's feet or on the seat beside them, in the climate and acoustic environment that the aircraft provides.
FFGR Monaco selects pet-friendly private jet operators from Nice NCE who explicitly permit cabin travel for dogs above 8kg — the category that commercial airlines most frequently exclude. Our operator relationships include Citation XLS+, Phenom 300, and Legacy 600 configurations, all of which accommodate large dogs in the forward cabin.
Documentation — The Monaco Specifics
Monaco and France operate under EU pet passport regulations. Any dog travelling from Monaco requires a valid EU pet passport, current rabies vaccination (minimum 21 days post-vaccination), and, for travel outside the Schengen area, an official health certificate issued by a Monegasque or French official veterinarian within 10 days of travel.
FFGR Monaco manages the documentation sequence from initial request. We coordinate with our veterinary partners in Monaco and Nice to confirm current vaccination status, issue health certificates where required, and pre-clear customs documentation for all destination countries on our client's itinerary. No client has missed a departure due to documentation issues on a booking we have managed.
Ground Transport — The Rolls-Royce Kennel Option
Our ground transport for Bark Air clients uses a purpose-configured Rolls-Royce SUV with a climate-controlled travel crate mounted in the rear cargo area. The crate is sized for dogs up to 50kg and lined with the client's preferred bedding. For clients who prefer their dog to travel unseated in the main cabin, we remove the crate configuration — the Cullinan's rear floor space accommodates large breeds comfortably.
Monaco to Nice NCE FBO takes 30 minutes. We time the ground movement to allow 20 minutes at the FBO for the dog to be exercised before boarding — a protocol detail that significantly reduces in-flight anxiety on longer routes.
